With just about 13,000 residents, New Providence is one of the smaller towns in Northern New Jersey, but that certainly doesn’t mean it’s any less exciting! Home to the beautiful, lush 2000+ acre Watchung Reservation, New Providence is known for its picturesque nature. The reservation is perfect for families as well as hikers, cyclists, fishers, and sports enthusiasts alike. The Village Shopping Center in the downtown area is filled with restaurants, shops, and, more often than not, community members! I like to think of this town as a hidden gem, complete with bright tree-lined streets, affordable homes, top schools, and an hour commute to the city.
